Steve was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 36 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, John Kay; mother, Imogene Silas and step-father, Lee Silas. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jo Ann Kay; son, John David (Angela) Kay, Southside; daughter, LeAnn(Dale) Findley, Alexandria; grandchildren, McKinley, Braden and Macie Kay, Southside; Denver and Dane Browning; Jasper and Wylie Findley, Alexandria; mother-in-law, Gladys Hubbard, Gadsden; cousin, Debora Reeves, Rainbow City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Etowah County.
