
Funeral services will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Thursday, February 19, 2026, with visitation to begin at 1:30 p.m. in Parlor C until the time of the chapel service at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Eddie Stevenson will officiate and music by Laura Stanfield.
Betty was born on April 8, 1944, in Gadsden, Alabama. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. After raising her children, Betty began a career at Walmart in Attalla, where she formed many lifelong friendships. She was known for her warm heart, strong spirit, and love for her family. Betty enjoyed taking trips to the casinos, playing bingo, and especially cherished going on cruises with friends. She found joy in laughter, fellowship, and spending time with those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Ronnie Stanfield; her sister, Bennie Ivy; and her grandson, David Epperson.
Betty is survived by her son, Scott Stanfield (Tammy); her daughter, Kellye Epperson; her granddaughters, Laura Stanfield, Hannah Campbell (Drew), Erica Stanfield, Tamela Epperson, and Abigail Campbell; her great-grandchildren, Devron Epperson, Mason Epperson, Alexis Agnew, Kerrye Agnew, and Abby Talley; along with many other loving family members and dear friends.
Pallbearers will be Scott Stanfield, Drew Campbell, Gary Buchheit, Larry Stocks, Bobby Stracener, and Jerry Moon. Honorary pallbearer will be Ken McMahan.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Oak Landing Assisted Living, Madison Manor, and Madison Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
