

Chance was a kind and loving soul who never met a stranger. He had a gift for conversation and made everyone feel welcome. He loved all animals and had a generous and helpful spirit. A loyal and devoted friend, Chance cherished the many relationships he built throughout his life.
He had a deep love for music and proudly played the trombone with the “Pride of Southside” Marching Band and graduated from Southside High School in 2020. Chance also enjoyed classic cars, thrift store finds and collecting Legos. He had a fascination with British and European culture and was an avid gamer who valued the friendships he made through gaming.
Chance was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roy Perkins.
He is survived by his loving parents, Christine and Jerry Perkins; his sister, Cammie Perkins of Rainbow City, Alabama; his Nana, Deborah Perkins of Rainbow City, Alabama; and his maternal grandmother, Karen Hall of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by his uncles, Marc and Lucio Perkins-Carrillo of Tampa, Florida; his aunt and uncle, Doreen and Roland, and his cousins, Caitlin and Josh Clark, all of Jacksonville, Florida; his aunt and uncle, Dianna and Jack Farmer of Jacksonville, Florida; and his uncles, Steven Hall, Richard Hall, and Michael Cason, all of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by many friends who will deeply miss him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Chapel, with a service to follow at 5:00 PM at the chapel. The Reverend Sherri Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be for immediate family only at Forest Lawn Gardens in Anniston, Alabama.
Honorary pallbearers will be Evan, Sohaib, Sam, Carson, Brennen, Kihler, Tanner, Luke, Daniel, Jake, Trent, Clark, Houston, Nick, and Jathan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sugarbelle Foundation https://www.sugarbellefoundation.org whose mission matches Chance’s heart.
Chance’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
