

After completing high school David honorably served in the United States Army for twenty years, he then worked for 15 years at the Anniston Army Depot. He continued to serve his community through his membership in the Masonic Lodge where he found a sense of brotherhood and lifelong fellowship. Dave loved the open road and enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycles and spending time with family and friends. David was an avid woodworker and spent countless hours crafting and creating wood designs in his Wood Shop.
David is preceded in death by his parents Roby and Marion Parker from Sioux City Iowa, They later lived and raised their children in Council Buff, Iowa. He was also preceded in death by his brother Dennis Parker and sister Doris J. (D.J.) Parker.
David is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Parker, his daughter Amanda (Brandon) Conley, son Kyle (Vanessa) Parker, stepdaughters Buffy (Lonny) Vaughn and Wendy Gentry. He is survived by his beloved grandchildren Madelyn Bradford, Lydia, Landyn, and Libby Parker, Dalton Vaughn, Shelby (Logan) Owens, Tanner and Gabriel Gentry, and his great grandchildren Bailee and Callie Vaughn. He is also survived by his sister Debi (Lyle) Paker. His nephew Travis (Capi) Parker and niece Mickie (Justin Wiladsen) Parker. His great niece Dallas (Thomas) Middlemist, nephews Evan and Owen Parker. A host of his longtime friends and other family members.
Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, September 10, 2025, beginning at 12: 30 pm for immediate family. Visitation for friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 pm. For all a celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. It will be led by Chad Owens from Legacy Church. On Friday September 12, 2025, at 11:45 am there will be full honors and military graveside service at Alabama National Cemetery Montevallo, Alabama.
Honorary Pallbearer are Logan Owens, Travis Parker, Michael Sheppard, Lonny Vaughn, and Dalton Vaughn.
David will be dearly missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
