A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Friday at Chandler Mountain Missionary Baptist Church for Doris Marlene Burton, 87, of Chandler Mountain who passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, January 13, 2021.
Mrs. Burton was a longtime member of Chandler Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to cook for her family and work with her flowers around the house. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years Jamie C. Burton; parents, Lecil and Mae Alexander; brothers, Harlon, Revis and Norman Alexander and sister, Kaye Netherton.
She is survived by her sisters, Lorene Deweese, Betty Sue Smith, Jennifer Alexander, Ruth (Wayne) Owen and sister in law, Barbara Alexander; sons, Keith (Sandy) Burton, Ken (Nancy Jo) Burton and Chris (Lynn) Burton; grandchildren, Stephanie (Shane) Rogers, Wesley (Michelle) Burton, Corey (Brent) Phillips, Joey (Tracy) Cash, Brian (Paige) Cash, Brandon (Brandi) Burton, Eric Burton and 15 greatgrandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to Chandler Mountain Missionary Baptist Church.
