Floyd attended Norris High School and graduated from Etowah High School in 1969. He attended Antioch United Methodist Church in Attalla, AL.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie G. Johnson-West and Jessie James West Sr.; Siblings, Alford D. West and Thelma West-Nelson.
Floyd is survived by his children, daughter, Trevia West; sons, Floyd C. “Chris” (Aundrea) West Jr., Fredrick “Fred” (Jennifer) West, William “Grass” (Christina) Caldwell; siblings, Alice West, Jessie J. West Jr., Halton D. West, Barbara West-Chatman, Carrie West-Cataldo, Eric E. West Sr, Arlene West; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; special friends, William “Bo” Graves, Briton Childs, and Herbert Graves Sr.
A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 3:30 pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Pastor Joey Gregone officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2 until 3:30pm.
