Glenn Dixon

Mr. Dixon was born April 3, 1935 in Attalla, Alabama, and lived there most of his life. His parents were John Dixon Jr. and Daisy McClendon Dixon, and he was the second oldest of seven children. In his late teen years, he moved to Detroit, Michigan to work in the automobile industry. He returned to Alabama in 1957 and married Annette Brogdon. They had four children, who they raised in Attalla. Mr. Dixon worked for the City of Attalla for several years in the 1960’s as a policeman. He later owned and operated a commercial roofing company for several decades.

He is survived by his children, Michael Dixon (Tina), Becky Houk (Steve), Kenneth Dixon (Beverly), and Jonathan Dixon (Sarenda); five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his sister Joan Roden; brother Kenneth Ray Dixon; sister-in-law Ann Dixon; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank his caregivers Tracy Jones, Rita Jones, Ernest Wallace, and all others who provided for his end of life care, including Enhabit Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Sunday March 8, 2026 at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, with visitation at 1:00 p.m. and funeral at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Attalla.

Pallbearers will be Larry Bringhurst, Aaron Disouryavong, Chad Dixon, Steve Houk, and Tracy Jones
