Jackie Wayne Macon

Services for Jackie will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, AL. on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Visitation will be held in the Chapel from 5:00pm until the time of the Funeral service at 7:00pm. Pastor Autry Barnhill to officiate.

Jackie worked for CSX Railroad as a Yard Master until his retirement, a role that reflected his lifelong love of trains. He was ordained through the Episcopal Church of Gadsden and lived his life in service to others. Jackie had a deep affection for all animals—especially dogs, cats, and horses. Known for his kindness and willingness to help anyone in need, Jackie touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with. He will be truly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dalton, Richard, Jimmy, Billy, Raymond, Johnny and Clark Macon; and his sister, Dorothy Macon Patterson.

Jackie is survived by his chosen sons, Robert and Matthew Inman; sister, Emma Louise Macon McCarter; special niece, Cindy Macon-DeLuca; along with many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Robert and Matthew Inman for the care you gave to Jack.
