Funeral Services for James Thomas Ford who passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the age of 80, will be at Gum Springs Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Ford will Lie in State prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at the adjoining cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.
James was as a Missile Technician for the United States Government. He enjoyed cattle farming, gardening, riding horses and Auburn football. He loved his family and especially loved playing with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Troy and Mayo Ford; son, James Thomas Ford, Jr.; grandson, Jason Foster; sister, Gladys T. Ford and brother, Roy Colvin Ford.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Ford; sons: Johnny Thrasher, Jacky (Pam) Foster and Jerry (Pam) Foster; daughter, Jan Foster; grandchildren: Jillian (Mark) Suther, Jimmy Foster and Julie (Randall) Suther; three great grandchildren; brothers: Kenneth (Nora) Ford, Harold Ford, Robert O. Ford and Stanley (Beverly) Ford; sisters: Linda (Calvin) Crim and Connie Blizzard and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
