Jamie Sue Mattison of Ashville, Ala. passed away on Wednesday, November 4th, 2020 at the age of 81. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Mattison loved being surrounded by family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking family meals, baking cakes, and her flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Mattison; parents, James W. and Margaret Fore; and brother, James David Fore.
She is survived by her one daughter and one son, Donna Mattison and Scott Mattison (Denise); three grandchildren, Matt Phillips (Brenna), Mara Mattison and Jay Mattison; two great-grandchildren, Ally Phillips and Madi Grace Phillips; one nephew, Sam Fore; and special lifelong friend, Mary Nell Banks.
Graveside services will be held Monday, November 9th, 2020 at Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church on Chandler Mt. in Steele, AL at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be Matt Phillips, Jay Mattison, Mike Washburn, Mark Washburn, Donnie Smith, and Jeff Walker.
