Jean Moore Nichols

Momma took her heavenly flight into Jesus arms on January 27, 2025, age 94, of Southside, AL.

Services will be January 30, 2025, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00 prior to service. Rev. Lauil Thompson and Rev. David Little to officiate. Music will be provided by Bro. Bill Drummonds.

Jean was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She retired from Allis - Chalmers in East Gadsden, AL., she was born August 30, 1930, in Bessemer, AL, to Jake and Emma Moore.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jackie Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Gayle Moore; nephew, Steve Moore; niece, Laura (Craig) Hill; cousins, Melissa (Zack) Lancaster, Michael Hill, and Molly (Allen) Ambrose with a large extended family; adopted daughters, Terry Conn, Kristen Fuhrman, and Susan Trawick; also we would like to thank her friend and neighbor, Rosie Jorden; and special friend, Dr. Paula Rookis for all the years she has care for jean.

Special thanks to Angels of Healing Sitting Service, Gerri, Elizabeth, Kendall; and thanks to Enhabit Home Health, Hospice Nurse Kayla, and PT. Cristal.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Emma Moore; and husband, Durwood Nichols.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Brothers, Norman McNatt, Zack Lancaster, Jake Lancaster, Warren Fuhrman, and Craig Hill.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Robert Jones, Phillip Fuhrman, Steve Trawick, and Chris Davenport.

There will be no graveside service, everyone is welcome to Southside Baptist Church to eat.
