

Visitation will be on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Morgan Funeral Chapel from 6pm until 8pm. A graveside service will be held at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 12:00pm.
Jimmy was born in Alabama on November 17, 1950, to Ralph B. Pence and Virginia W. Pence. He was a graduate of Sardis High School, Class of 1969; and went on to attend Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1977, demonstrating his lifelong passion for learning and caring for animals. Jimmy worked for the United States Department of Agriculture and retired after 31 years service. His dedication to knowledge and sharing information touched many lives and inspired those around him.
A true lover of the outdoors, Jimmy found joy in exploring the woods, tending to his garden, and fishing in quiet streams. His appreciation for flowers, trees, and all living things was evident in his daily life. He also loved vintage Ford trucks and Lincoln cars, often reminiscing about their timeless beauty and craftsmanship.
Throughout his life, Jimmy was known for his kindness, curiosity, and love of nature. His gentle spirit and generous heart will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph B. Pence and Virginia W. Pence.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Linda G. Pence; sons, Justin Ray Pence, and Robert Craig O’Bryant; brother, Allen L. Pence; and niece, Ginger Pence.
Pallbearers are Kenny Underwood, and Lester Anderson.
