Mr. Hope was a native of Etowah County. He was a small business owner specializing in residential and commercial refrigeration. He provided services to the local area for 35 years. All that knew him knew he had a heart of gold and would help you in any way he could. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and Alabama football fan.
He is preceded in death by his Granddaughter, Melissa Danielle Hope and Grandparents, Carmen and Hoyt Dodd and Ellen and Cecil Bennett.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hope; daughter, Linda (Steve) Jacobs; sons, John (Jessica) Hope and Justin (Candace) Griffith; step-daughter, Karen (Niko) Stewart; grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Kaylee, Andrew, Brenden, Ansley, Sam, Daniel, Lauren; great grandchild, Nicholas Hope; Parents, Alice Goyer and Ray Hope; and brothers, Jerry (Janet) Hope and Allen Hope.
A celebration of life will be held at the Gadsden Country Club on February 1, 2020 from 2-5. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you wear your Alabama attire and bring pictures of JD to share.
