It is almost three months without my Peep. Everyday is almost harder than the next. I miss him so much it is almost unbearable most days. My heart aches more for my Mimi, my Mom and my Aunt, I can't imagine how they find the strength to go through the days. My sweet and precious Peep, what an incredible man you absolutely were to have left such a void in our hearts, in and our family and on this Earth.

Peep loved knowledge, loved learning new things and loved a challenge! Age was never a barrier or an excuse for Peep.

That time that my Mom and Peep were together, stopped at Starbucks and he got to try his first cake pop.

One of the best looking and coolest dudes there ever was.

Christmas was always one of his and our families favorite holidays.

I think Peep was happiest when he could have all his family close. He loved his family and took very good care of us all.

In 2018 Mike and I got pregnant with Ethan. Mike and Peep had played golf a couple times but this time we wanted to make it extra special and we purchased a 'gender reveal' golf ball. When Peep was teed off with the special ball, he had a whole gathering of his friends around him cheering him on, and when he hit it, it shot a blue dust cloud as blue as his eyes everywhere. His friends as well as others around all cheered and came over to congratulate him. I love this photo (and a video we have) even more because Peep just so happened to be wearing this blue shirt that day too that perfectly matched the baby blue from the gender reveal ball. Mike especially loved Peep, he lost his grandfather 20 years ago and he loved spending time with him and having him give advice or set him straight!

There was nothing better than coming home with Emma and Ethan and going to see Mimi and Peep. Like me, Emma and Ethan always love going to see Mimi and Peep when we come back to Alabama. As a toddler Emma and Ethan loved getting fed blueberries through the fence by Peep while they were swimming or being rocked on the porch by him after they had a long afternoon of swimming.

I was the first grandchild Mimi and PeepPaw had, so I had the honor of naming them both. I love my PeePaw and this is one of my favorite photos of my handsome PeePaw and I at one of our many beautiful family Christmas celebrations. I will forever love and cherish the sound of him calling me "Rachel Mishael" or "Mishael", no one else ever called me that but my PeePaw.  Growing up Christmas (and every holiday with our big family) had us playing Trivial Pursuit, Scattergories, Guesstures, Pictionary, or some other type of game where you could head Peep's unmistakable laugh, snicker or see him be hystericaly goofy. My favorite thing about the holidays was always the games with family but I have to imagine Peep loved them even more having everyone around laughing and having fun.

Mimi and Peep took me to Disney in 1986 for the first time. They made me wear one of the wrist 'leashes'. We got tangled up (on purpose) with Chip n Dale because they kept playing with the cord, they twisted and twisted it around a dozen times or so. We chased down Goofy since it was our Uncle Charles' favorite character because I had to tell him "Hello". That Disney trip with both my grandparents 38 years ago will forever and always be one of my most favorite times with them both, especially Peep leading me around with a leash on my wrist.

While each one grieves, there is celebration in Heaven, as Ken graduated to glory!  Hallelujah! And now he's cheering y'all on from the Heavenly Dimension. (Hebrews 12:1-2) As a part of the Church Triumphant, he is closer by than you may imagine! And he is far more alive than he has ever been before.  As Billy Graham said, He's just changed addresses. 

Fifty years ago, in October of 1974, Vicki and I were blessed to serve at Roebuck Plaza, and for a couple of years, blessed by fellowshiping with the Stephens family.  Our lives are better because of these days we were allowed to share with each of you. 

Following some of you on social media has been like icing on the cake.  We love you, and we want the Lord to bless you all with everything you need to navigate these traveling days through the Valley of the Shadow.

Peep was a one of a kind soul. He will be terribly missed, but I’m incredibly thankful to have the undoubtable security that he is dancing with Jesus at this very moment. I will miss your blueberry pancakes so much and I hope to have them again some time!! Have fun playing golf up there with Jesus, I love you so much Peep!!!

He was an incredibly charming and kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. I'm so grateful I had the privilege of knowing him.

He made this beautiful family what it is. His love, compassion, persistence and gentleness makes us all want to do more. So many things I would have loved to have told him but it would have taken weeks to say it all. I have comfort knowing that he knew it all along. He knew how much he was loved and respected.

He was so proud of his family! He taught us all to do better! Will will miss him so much but find comfort knowing he is with his Heavenly Father for eternity.

He loved to travel. He had a lot of fun with his family.  Such a wonderful man!

He loved Jesus, his wife, his family, golf and Alabama football. He walked what he talked. We are all better people because he lived, and he REALLY lived!
