Margaret Ford Dean

Margaret Ford Dean, 92 of Attalla AL met her Savior on October 3rd, 2024. She was born on November 16, 1931 to Luther and Lena Belle Peppers Ford in Hazel Greene, AL. She was a graduate from Emma Sansom High School and soon after started a career in banking. She worked for Alabama City Bank and later SouthTrust Bank as head teller and assistant cashier retiring with over 45 years of service. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Attalla serving in many areas. She was married to the late Jim Dean for 38 years. She enjoyed reading, going to Hobby Lobby, and spending time with friends and the ladies she worked with at the bank. She got the most enjoyment from spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim and her son Jimmy. She is survived by her son Jerry (Cindy) Dean, daughter in law, Darlene Dean; grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley) Dean, Cameron (Caitlin) Dean, Meredith (Jeremy) Hargrove, Amanda (Zayne) Ledbetter and Zackary (MacKenzie) Dean; great grandson, Andrew Dean. She is also survived by a special nephew Mike Gipson and special nieces Sammy Dean Lewis and Cathy Gipson VanDyke as well as several cousins, great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 6th at 2:00 PM with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla,AL. The Reverend Earl Mitchell officiating. Graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Attalla.
