Michael Comas Lance 61 of Attalla, was called home by the LORD on Friday July 1 2022. Funeral service will be at 5 PM (CST) Monday, July 11, 2022 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Bellew officiating and 12:00 PM (EST) Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in McDonough, Georgia with Rev. Charles Bellew and Rev. Johnny Newell officiating. Burial will follow Tuesday at Holly Hill Memorial Park Fairburn, Georgia.
Mike attended Church of the Master of Attalla, Alabama and Emmanuel Baptist Church of McDonough, Georgia. He had started visiting Cross Camp Cowboy Church of Rainbow City on Wednesday Evenings. Mike had a love for singing for the LORD. He would encourage others to sing for the LORD and if he ever had to miss church, he would call and make sure there was someone to take his place. He spent his life working in the automotive industry, being a family man, caring for others, and enjoying many hobbies. If you knew Mike, you knew he was “Quite The Character” and “The Do It All Man.” The children in his life were aware of the “CLAW” and was familiar with the words “I LOVE YOU MAN.” Mike would do anything asked of him, even the humblest of jobs and what sets him apart was that he did these jobs with much pride and never complained. If you ever needed to know who played in a movie, the year the movie was made or remade, or a specific date for an event, Mike was your guy. Mike was sweet and loved. There is not enough room on this page to write all the good in Mike.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Ernest Marvin and Kathleen Penny Lance, wife Delia Lance, son Rodney (Regina) Tanner and grandparents.
He is survived by his children: Roeshell and Timothy Lillard Sr. and Renee and Charles Bellew; grandchildren: Amber and Jeremy Matthews, Heather Bellew and Timothy Lillard Jr.; great-grandchildren: Bentlee Matthews and Marlee Matthews; sisters Peggy and Jimmy Lee, Virginia and Duane Conner, Dorothy Illyanna Lance, Mary and Jim Marks, and Tansie Dorsey and niece and nephews: Katie Marks, Joseph Marks, and Samuel Marks.
Pallbearers will be: Timothy Lillard Sr., Timothy Lillard Jr, Jeremy Matthews, Bentlee Matthews, Tim Walker, Paul Martin, and Barry Brazil.
