

Funeral services for Mr. Hundley will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Saturday, July 26, 2025. The family will receive visitors in the Chapel from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forrest Cemetery, 700 S. 15th St., Gadsden, Alabama 35901. Rev. G. Robert “Bob” Hundley, Jr. and Rev. Gregory Ellison to officiate the service.
Mr. Hundley graduated from Etowah High School in 1967. He received his B.A. from Athens State College in 1981, his M.Div. from Emory University in 1986, and was an ordained Deacon at the United Methodist Church in 1986. He pastored the following United Methodist churches: Turkeytown, Blanche/ Bethel/ Pleasant Hill Circuit, Cedar Hill in Leesburg, Sibert in Attalla, Toney, Fellowship in Scottsboro/Langston Circuit, West Huntsville, Esther in Huntsville, Associate First UMC of Tuscumbia, East End in Decatur, Shady Grove in Toney, Somerville, Mt. Moriah in Moulton/Hatton Circuit. Mr. Hundley was also active with the Boy Scouts. He was an Eagle Scout and received the God and Country Award.
He was preceded in death by his father, George R. Hundley, Sr., and his mother, Julia Philips Hundley.
Mr. Hundley is survived by his wife, Nedra Holcombe Hundley; sons, Raymond “Philip” Philips Hundley, Jr. and Nathanial “Nathan” Allen Hundley; grandson, Richard Ray Doege; brother, G. Robert “Bob” Hundley, Jr. and his wife, Laura Hundley; sister, Julie Hundley Terrell and her husband Thomas H. Terrell, Jr.; sister in law, Carol Holcombe Lockhart and her husband, Ronny Lockhart; along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Hundley to the Alzheimer Organization, Trinity Methodist Church, Gadsden, AL., or Safe Haven Animal Shelter of St. Clair County in Odenville, AL.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, Elizabeth Packard, Paige Stapler, Jessica Williams and all of Mr. Hundley’s caregivers.
