

Richard Wayne Davis "Dick", 84, passed away April 6, 2025. He is survived by his wife Donna of 57 years, two sons Richard Michael Davis "Mike" and his wife Shaye of Oxford, Alabama. Two Grandchildren Khaley and Cole. Anthony Wayne Davis "Tony" and his wife Paula of Tustin, California. He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Wayne Davis and brother James Davis all of Louisville, Kentucky.
Richard was a member of Gadsden 1st Baptist Church and the Berea Sunday School Class.
He graduated from both Male High School Louisville, Kentucky and Indiana University. After graduating from high school, he joined the Air Force where he served at multiple bases in the US. He served at the ENT Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado where his unit was the first unit to enter Cheyenne Mountain when NORAD was established. Here he served as an air traffic controller. He also served at Pontzi Mountain, British Columbia, Canada. After leaving the Air Force he accepted a job with American Standard as timekeeper and worked his way up to Financial Vice President of the Asian Division of American Standard which was based in Seoul, South Korea. He then worked for Johnson Control in Greenfield, Ohio and Emco and Stamps Products in Gadsden, Alabama.
He was an avid golfer and was a member of Twin Bridges Golf Club.
There will be a private family memorial at a later date.
