Robert graduated from Ohatchee High School in 1981. He then joined the United States Navy and served from 1981 until 1986. He later graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Technology with a minor in technical writing. Robert was employed at Sneider Trucklines, Harley Davidson and the Mercedes plant in Tuscaloosa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Noblet Calhoun; father, Robert Louis Calhoun Sr.; mother, Louise Hill Calhoun; grandparents, Raymond and Geneva Calhoun and Frank and Lula Mae Hill. He is survived by his brother, Raymond (Kay) Franklin Calhoun; sister, Stella (Randy) Calhoun Huckstep; nephews, Joshua (Stephanie) Anderson, Jonathon Anderson, Jerod (Jennifer) Anderson, Kevin Calhoun, and Zane Calhoun; niece, Kristin (Adam) Clements; and 9 great-nieces and great-nephews.
