Rodney Lemons

On Monday November 15, 2021, Rodney Earl Lemons, loving husband and father of four children, he was called home at the age of 57. Rodney was born on January 3, 1964 in Gadsden, AL. He became a truck driver at the age of 18. On September 21, 1982, he married Barbara Dillard. They raised three daughters, Kasey, Ashley, and Maxie and one son, Taylor.

Rodney loved his children and grandchildren more than anything. His family meant everything to him. His second love was a Peterbuilt. He loved the life of a trucker. He would help anyone in need. Never met a stranger.

Rodney was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Opal Lemons; his brother, Jerry Lemons Jr; his mother in law, Maxie Dillard.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Barbara Lemons; his dad, Jerry Lemons and four children, Kasey (Chris) Blackwell, Ashley Lemons, Maxie Lemons (RJ Rudolph) and Taylor Crawford (Soraya Venzke). He had ten grandkids and one on the way. Their names are Alyssa, Brayden, Aliyah, Jayleen, John, TJ “Willie”, Cutter, Kylie, Avery and Semija. He had three chosen grandkids, Brian Garret, Zakariah Ruff, and Quinten Rudolph; brothers, Randall (Mary Rose) Lemons, Scott (Sherrie) Lemons; sisters, Rhonda Lemons (Greg Wiggins), Virginia (James) O’bryant; his dog, Buck (Mac) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Blackmon, RJ Rudolph, Taylor Crawford, Randall Lemons, Chris Blackwell, Phillip Dillard, Ryan Horrobin, Greg Wiggins. Jr. Pallbearers will be Brayden Lemons, Jayleen Douglas, John Blackwell, TJ Lemons, and Cutter Blackwell.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 20, 2021 1p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Sister Theresa Chapman and Pastor Newman Voss. Visitation will be from 11 until 1p.m. prior to the service at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Burial will be Conn Cemetery.
