A memorial service will be at 2:00pm Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Roger Elven Olson, 70, of Gadsden. Mr. Olson passed away on April 27, 2017. Rev. Jimmy Bailey will be officiating the service. The United States Marine Corps will provide military honors. Morgan Funeral Chapel will be directing the service.
Roger was a Vietnam veteran and a graduate of Auburn University. Roger was honorably discharged as Corporal from the Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Ann Olson and parents, Elven and Frances Olson.
He is survived by his sons, Russell (Mandi) Olson and Eric Olson; grandchildren, Mckenzie Olson and Brantley Olson; sisters, Jerre (Phil) Baxter of Rainbow City and Carol (Joe) Baldwin of Texas.
