

Funeral Services for Mr. Ronald M. Freeman, age 65 of Steele, will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
Ron grew up in Duck Springs, Alabama. He graduated from Gadsden High School with the class of 1977. He served in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard. Ron worked at the Anniston Army Depot where he retired. He was a faithful member of Ivalee Baptist Church and he always put the Lord first in his life.
Ron enjoyed playing golf and watching Alabama football. Roll Tide!! He was a loving husband, an awesome Dad, an amazing brother, a wonderful uncle, the bestest uncle runcle, a mentor, a role model, and a true friend who always put others before himself. Ron will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Helen Freeman; sister, Sharon Simmons; brother in law, Bud Simmons; and nephew, Barry Freeman.
Survived by his wife, Jackie Freeman; son, William Kemp (Freeman); brother, Donald (Tamila) Freeman; sisters, Sheila Rose and Melissa (Alvin) Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers will be Houston Elders, Britt Shores, Brent Dunn, Brandon (Bo) Paulk, Chance Johnson and Nathan Quarles.
Honorary pallbearers are Zach and Spencer Badgett, Allen Dorrough, Tavin Shores and Christopher Simmons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Etowah Pregnancy Center.
The family would like to give special thanks to Centerwell Home Health, Amedisys Hospice and Ivalee Baptist Church.
Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
