Van Norris Greenhaw

A visitation will be held on March 30, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A chapel service will follow at 3:00 PM.

Phillip Elliott and Larry Garrard will officiate.

Burial will take place at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Greenhaw was a longtime member of Cherry Street Baptist Church. Mr. Greenhaw was a 1961 graduate of Gadsden High School. He went to a trade school where he graduated as a cabinet maker.

Mr. Greenhaw joined the Airforce in 1964. He was in the Airforce for 27 plus years. He rose to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He retired from the Airforce in 1991.

Mr. Greenhaw could be found with a book in his hands. He loved gardening and fishing. Mr. Greenhaw was also a member of the Gideons.

Mr. Greenhaw was preceded in death by his late wife, Wilma Joyce Greenhaw; son, Brian Van Greenhaw; sister-in-law, Janis Greenhaw; sister and brother-in law, Nina and Perry Wardrup; brother-in-law, Jerry Langley; parents, Boston and Bonnie Louise Greenhaw.

Mr. Greenhaw is survived by his wife, Debra Greenhaw; son, Craig (Phoenica) Greenhaw; daughter, Jennifer (Sean) Rector; brothers, Nick Greenhaw and Kent (Donna) Greenhaw; brother-in-law, Mike Langley, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

In lieu of flowers- the family will receive flowers, or memorial donations may be made to the Gideons International.

Special thanks are given to Hanceville Nursing and Rehab Center staff and to Emily, Erika, Morgan and Robert for taking care of him.

Aveanna hospice staff for their guidance and help with Mr. Greenhaw.

As well as Home Health Services staff, Dane, Susanne and Tonya, for taking care of Mr. Greenhaw at home.
