

Funeral services will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, AL. on Saturday, January 25, 2025. The family will receive visitors in Parlor C from 10:00am until 11:00am. A Graveside service will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens, Gadsden, AL.
Wanda was born August 7, 1951, in Gadsden to Ira C. Couch and Johnnie Mae Pierce. She was a 1969 graduate of Etowah High School. She enjoyed singing solos at churches in the Gadsden area when she was young. After she married, she lived in a variety of places in the US and abroad with her daughter, Melanie; and husband, Marvin; during his twelve years in the United States Air Force. During this time, she worked as a teacher's assistant at elementary schools in Florida and Texas. After Marvin’s separation from the Air Force, they enjoyed living in Colorado for many years before returning to Gadsden in 2014.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Marvin Cash, her parents, and her brother Ira Wayne Couch.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Melanie Cash Landis; son in law, Jeremy Landis; grandson, Theodore Wayne Landis; brother in law, Bryan Cash (Sheila); nieces, Jessica Couch Puckett (Derick), Jnifr Cash Hill (Barry), Amanda Cash Shores (Bruce), and Lauren Cash; nephew, Matthew Couch; great nieces, Julia, Joanna and Jada Puckett; great nephew, Jonathan Puckett; who she treated as grandchildren, her beloved cousin, Nina Howard (Ted); and a host of other loving family members and friends. She will be missed dearly.
The family would like to express gratitude to Wanda’s place of residency, Magnolia Gardens in Rainbow City and her home health group, CenterWell for her outstanding care.
