

William Williams, born on December 17, 1953, passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 71. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 7th, 2025 from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM with a service following immediately at Morgan Funeral Chapel, 625 Gilbert Ferry Rd SE, Attalla, AL, 35954 officiated by Rev. Mitchell Gibbs.
Ray was a 1975 graduate of Emma Sansom High School and began his career insulating houses shortly after. He was a local business owner of Quality Insulation with over 50 years of experience in his field. He was man of faith and enjoyed visiting local churches around Etowah County. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who spent most of his free time spending time with his family. His sole purpose in his later years was to be a positive role model for all his children and grands. He never missed a sporting event, a dance recital or a birthday celebration. He loved Alabama football, and you could find him near a TV when the game was on.
Ray is preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Hawkins. Sisters, Sonja Rousseau and Mary Hawkins. Brothers John Willimas, Ronnie Williams, Roger Williams and Billy Hawkins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Leatha Williams, daughter, Jamie Williams (Larry), son Ryan Williams (Cherri). Grandchildren; Emily Collins (Braxton), Alec Timmons, Jayda Williams, Mallory Williams and Tanner Dempsey. Great-Grandchildren; Kashton Dixon and Emery Collins.
Our family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Harrigan and Dr. Nabors at UAB Kirklin Clinic along with special nurses, Yanna and Marsha, who helped with his care during his illness. Also, a special thank you to Agape Hospice and his nurse Molly.
