Born July 1, 1960, in San Rafael, to Helene Crystal and James Calvin McKinley, Cash was the youngest of six children in a cattle ranching family. She grew up in Truckee, Placerville, and Sacramento, graduating from C.K. McClatchy High School, Class of 1978.
In 1980, she married David Moon of Sacramento, and together they welcomed two children, Crystal and Trevor. In 2000, she married her beloved husband, Gary Harrison of Auburn. They shared a life rooted in friendship, family, and a love of NASCAR.
Cash treasured her family, her friends, and the many “extra” kids who called her “Mama Cash.” A gifted cook and natural host, she loved filling her home with food, laughter, and the people she held dear.
An entrepreneur at heart, Cash held many roles over the years before dedicating more than 20 years to Osborn Rock Walls. Working alongside longtime friend Glen Osborn, she built friendships that lasted decades. Loyal and hardworking, she earned respect through her integrity and dedication and took care of her people.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Harrison; her parents, Helene Crystal and James Calvin McKinley; and her sister, Carrie McKinley.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Moon (Perry Costanzo); her son, Trevor Moon (Tammy); her grandchildren, Catherine Coleman, serving in the U.S. Army; Waylon Moon; Tinley Moon; and Tori Moon; her siblings, Carol McKinley; Kevin McKinley (Tammy); Calene Forkis (Hal); and Casey McKinley; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Tin Lantern in Meadow Vista. Guests are welcome to join the family at any time during these hours.
