Doris Charlotte Bailey

Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Earl Bailey in 1996, she is survived by her son Ron(Jane), Doris also leaves behind three grandchildren Steve Bailey (Brenda), of Placerville,Sheryse Lewis (Matt) of Meadow Vista, Travis Bailey (Brenda), of Foresthill , 7 great grandchildren Chris Britton(Bonnie) of Foresthill, Logan Bailey of Newport News, VA, Ryan Bailey of Placerville, Cammie Bailey of Idaho, Wade Lewis, Mason Lewis and Nolan Lewis of Meadow Vista. Niece Sandy Lerner of Upperville, VA, Nephew Scott Lerner of Meadow Vista, great nephews 2Lt Michael Archer US Army, Mark Lerner of Meadow Vista and dear friend Barb Lerner of Meadow Vista. Doris was a resident of Auburn since 1949, working alongside her husband in the oil business. She was active in community affairs as Den Mother for Cub Scouts, 4-H leader. She was an active member of the Model A and Model T car clubs, Soroptomists of Auburn and the Red Hat Society. For the last four years Doris resided at Oakwood Village Assisted Living where she engaged in all the activities and especially Bingo. She will be missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held November 16, 2017 at 10:00 at the Chapel of the Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
