George Duff, 69 of Auburn passed away peacefully Nov. 23 surrounded by his loving family and friends following his courageous and incredible battle with illness.
George is survived by his beloved wife Linda, his son Alex of Auburn, brother Dwane, sister-in-law Peggy, nephew Rob, nieces Kelly and Krista, brother and sister-in-law Gary and Lyn Beem and his much beloved dog Lucy.
George was an outstanding sports enthusiast most of his life. He graduated from Placer High, San Jose State and played football and was a Fraternity Brother while at U.C. Berkley. George was an army officer during the Viet Nam Crisis then returned home to Auburn where he became a successful business entrepreneur and an integral part of his community. George was most often described as “on of a kind”, enlightening every occasion with his unique character and sense of humor while gathering cherished friends over a full life. He was an avid member of Glide In Duck Club, Winchester Country Club, Auburn Valley Country Club and Auburn Racket Ball Club. George will be deeply missed. He was born in Baker Oregon the son of George and Erva Duff.
Life celebration: Sunday Dec. 2 starting at 1 pm at Auburn Valley Country Club, 8800 Valley Road, Auburn.
