

Helen Hewitt was born on February 19, 1917 in Arboga, California. She passed away peacefully on May 4, 2012 in Auburn, California at 95 years of age. Helen was born Helen Marie Urrere to French parents Jean Pierre Urrere and Marie Louise Urrere. Her father owned a sheep ranch and by the time Helen started school she spoke French, English, and Spanish fluently. Most of Helen’s life was spent as a homemaker, but she did work at McClellan Air Force Base during World War II. Helen was always involved in all activities that involved her family. From being a room monitor at school to Grandma cheering on her grandchildren at a sporting event.
Helen lived in Loomis, California for 48 years with her husband of 61 years, Harold Hewitt. Helen is survived by her son Michael Hewitt of Loomis, California, granddaughter Nichole Reidt (Joshua) of Costa Mesa, California and grandsons Jason and Jacob Hewitt of Loomis, California, sisters-in-law Wanda Williams (Bill) of Lincoln, California, Kathaleen Hayes (David) of Washington, Carol Edwards (Bob) of Loma Rica, California, brothers-in-law Clyde Hewitt of South Carolina and Stanley Hewitt of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Hewitt, parents Jean Pierre Urrere and Marie Jasper, and brother-in-law Kenneth Hewitt.
A viewing will be held on Monday May 14, 2012 at noon with a service immediately following at 1:00pm at Chapel of the Hills, 1331 Lincoln Way, Auburn, California. A graveside service will be held following the funeral service at Newcastle Cemetery, 850 Taylor Road, Newcastle, California. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Hills, Auburn, California.
