Popsi, 
I will forever be thankful to have been able to call you family. I will miss your stories, laugh, and the ability to make everyone feel loved. I cherish the memories of sitting on your lap and talking with you. The sound of your voice at christmas is a favorite memory and a staple in my house. I love you and you will be missed by so many. May you rest in peace. 

Grandpa was one of the most amazing men I have ever known. After graduating high school I had the privilege of living with him for a year. While in college, I enjoyed eating potstickers but years later I discovered Grandpa couldn’t stand the smell of them. While I was living with him he never said a word as he knew I enjoyed them. That’s the kind of man he was. I will forever cherish the kiss he blew to me this Christmas Eve during his last days before he “graduated” to heaven. You will always be in my heart grandpa!

Dad, I came into your family
Not knowing what I'd find.
I was nervous and afraid,
You gently eased my mind.

You made me feel right at home
From the first day that we met.
You welcomed me with opened arms,
And that I won't forget.

You always have encouraged me
With kind words that you say.  
I knew I could depend on you on any given day.

You are a great father-in-law. 
You stand out above the rest.

Grandpa, where to start with what you mean to me. You are my earliest memory, sitting on your knee on that black couch listening to stories that made my imagination race. You are the kindest, gentlest, most loving gentleman I’ve ever known. You have brightened EVERY room you entered and EVERY life you touched. Whether you know it or not, you are a cornerstone of my life and a man I model myself after.  I know that you’re better off where you are now, but I miss you and that voice so much! When I meet you at heavens gate and we get to hug again, I know you’ll pick me up in that giant bear hug that you always did. Until we see each other again, rest well grandpa and please keep looking out over us. We certainly need your unconditional help and love right now in this world.

Oh, my Big Brother.  You have always been the “Big” guy in my life.  The first family story/memory I have of you when I was around 4-6 years old and you came home from the service. Now the family story goes like this because I really don’t remember but they said that I didn’t think you were my big brother and I hid behind a post and wouldn’t come out and hug you because my big brother had promised me a doll and not shoes. Now I am sure that I needed the shoes, but you had promised me a doll. So of course, being the big brother that you were, you went out and got me a doll. Oh, today how I wish I could stand behind a post and demand you to come back. I know though that you will be waiting for me when its time. 

This next little snip of my many memories of how you as my big brother influenced me and its one of my favorites. This memory has held with me all these years happened one evening when I was around 6 or so. I was frightened for some reason and in those years, we had a lot to be frightened over.  You were walking into the house with you holding my hand and I asked you if there was a God and if so where was he.  You looked up into the sky with the stars and said, “Of course there is, and he is everywhere you look, and you will be okay”.  When times have been tough in my life and I was screaming “no I can’t take anymore” your words pop into my head and my life gets easier.  There is a God, I’m not it and he is all around me and I am okay. Quite the legacy to leave me with. Thank you.

You are in my heart always and I know that you are just waiting. So, this is not a good-bye but a “I’ll see you soon.”

I love you, Dad!   My favorite memory I will always hold close to my heart are all the times you taught us to "Treat others the way you want to be treated."   I have lived by that memory every time I come into contact with people.  I ask myself "Would I want someone to say that to me?  Or do that to me?"
