James "Roy" Parker

Roy was a devoted husband and father, retired High School teacher and Athletic Director at San Lorenzo HS, San Lorenzo, CA. He was a graduate of Univ. California at Berkeley and member of the 1951 Cal Bear Rose Bowl team, Veteran of the US Air Force, a very involved member of the Combie Bible Church in Grass Valley, CA, and an excellent athlete in baseball and football. His later competitive interests included horseshoes and golf, including two hole in ones, both after the age of 70.

Roy is preceded in death by Herschel and Maude Parker (parents), and sisters, Pat, Iris, Louise, and Frances. He is survived by his loving wife Bea, after a marriage of 60 years, son Mike and his wife Melissa, and their children Danielle, Josh and his wife Shirena, Christopher, Joey, and Kelsey, and son Tom and his wife Lecia, their sons Tanner, Troy and his wife Alicia, and their son Landon.

A Memorial Service is to be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Combie Bible Church, 22924 W. Hacienda Dr., Grass Valley, CA. All are welcome to attend. Please sign the online guestbook at www.chapelofthehills-auburn.com
