John Phillip Reimer

John Phillip Reimer born 9-8-1931 passed away into God's arms on 3–6–2024 at the age of 92. He died peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Born in Gladwin Michigan he was a graduate of Immanuel High School in Ridley, California, and after enlisted in the US Air Force. After discharge in 1955, he moved to San Jose and was employed with Western Electric Co. In 1959 he married a neighbor, Doris Sutherland, and raised two children in their San Jose home where they remained for 32 years.

Upon retirement, they relocated to the Auburn foothills. John and Doris enjoyed two beautiful grandchildren, motorhome travels, gardening, fishing, and their wonderful dogs.

Dad is preceded in death by his loving wife Doris C., parents, John E. and Helena C. Reimer, five sisters, Ruth (Ken) Monroe, Esther (Henry) Schroeder, Martha (John) Janzen, Bernice (Harold) Zimer, Waneta (Dan) Jost.

He is survived by children Cheryl (Gary) Arena, and John Greg Reimer, and grandchildren, Jeff Arena, and Meagan (Joey) Hobbs.

Dad lived a full, happy life filled with joy. He will be remembered fondly, and be sorely missed.
