Joe passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on October 14, 2016, in Roseville, California. He was the son of Joe and Edna Mitchell born August 3, 1937. Raised in San Francisco, he graduated from Mission High School in 1955. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Nancy (McElroy) Mitchell, of 43 years. Joe had a distinguished career with Pacific Bell and retired after 38 years of service. He enjoyed living in Auburn in retirement and was an active member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks as well as the Loyal Order of Moose.
