Marie Elena Matousek

She was born to Peter and Anna Anerine in Miami, FL on December 13,1942. She graduated from Immaculata- La Salle High School in 1960. After high school, Marie married Victor Matousek in 1961 and they later had 3 children, Jean in 1974, Joanne in 1978, and John in 1982.

Marie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marie enjoyed gardening, cooking/baking for her family, and canning fruits and vegetables. Marie also liked to watch the news to keep up with current events and politics. Marie enjoyed the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas which included a lot of decorating and baking of her favorite holiday treats.

Marie had a good sense of humor which trickled down to her children and grandchildren. She loved when the family was together and everyone was joking around and having a good time. Marie is survived by her two daughters, Jean and Joanne, son John, daughter-in-law, Letty, grandsons, Jacob, Jaron, Benjamin and Jaxson, brother, Richard Anerine, her dogs, Zeus, Gracie, and Sally, and her friends and neighbors. Marie is preceded by her father, Peter Anerine, mother, Anna Anerine, and brother Thomas Anerine.

A church service will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 11:00 am at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic

Church, 11610 Atwood Road, Auburn, CA 95603. There will be a reception immediately following at

the Auburn Veterans Memorial Hall, 100 East Street, Auburn, CA 95603 where family and friends

can share memories and enjoy a light lunch.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to any of the following charities: ASPCA,

American Breast Cancer Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
