Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ChapeloftheHills-Auburn.com for the HALLEY family.
Marvin passed away peacefully
in his own home and
surrounded by loved ones after
a 5 year battle with Alzheimer's
Disease. He is survived by his
son Marty Halley and daughter
Mindee Halley-Purscell. He is
preceded in death by son
Monty M. Halley. He leaves
behind 7 grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren along with
several extended family
members and loved ones.
Marvin was the youngest of 3
sons and resided in Newcastle
his entire life. He was the
happiest at home, on his 10
acre farm, with his dog Junior
in tow, fixing vehicles, fishing,
racing hots rods and mending
fences. Marvin was self
employed for most of his life as
a truck driver, and was a jack
of all trades. He was lovingly
referred to as “Gawkaw” by his
grandchildren who would
graciously accept his gift of
bubble gum and hugs. Daddy
will be missed. Rest in Peace
poppa.
