

Pauline was the youngest of five daughters of Lorenzo and Harriett Watson, who were also residents of Auburn since 1955. Pauline graduated from Randsburg High School with honors in 1938. Pauline Watson and Adhemar Cote were married January 28, 1943. She was a graduate of the University of Southern California drafting program and during World War II was a draftsman employed by the shipping industry where she drew plans for US Navy ships. Following the war the Cotes lived in Gardena and moved to Auburn in 1953. After arriving in Auburn with her family she was employed by several building companies as a draftsman, designing homes and mountain cabins, and she later started a drafting business at home where she designed numerous homes and small office buildings throughout the Auburn and foothill area.
Pauline is survived by her four children: Tom Cote, Theresa Cote, Paul Cote, and Joseph Cote. Pauline was Grandmother to ten and Great Grandmother to five.
A Rosary will be said for Pauline at Chapel of the Hills on Friday, October 15 at 7:30, and a funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Joseph Church on Saturday, October 16 at 10:00am. Following Mass, refreshments will be served at St. Joseph Parish Room.
Pauline will be missed dearly.
