Phyllis Angela Kenes

Phyllis and her beloved husband, David Kenes, shared 60 years of marriage and raised a wonderful family.

Born and raised in Hamden, CT, Phyllis was thoughtful, social, and generous. She loved world travel, cruising on cruise ships, playing bridge, reading, golf , boating, and her Woman's Club activities. Her passion for photography and Photoshop eared her many awards.

she graduated from Hamden High School and earned a degree from the University of Bridgeport, with additional studies at Fairfield and Yale Uninversities. Her career included roles at Yale University Medical School, Union Carbide Corporation, PepsiCo, and management of Worklab, a subsidiary of Danbury Hospital. She also operated Photography by Phyllis K. in Connecticut.

Phyllis served as secretary of the CLC Book Marks book club at the Women's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield. She and David were longtime supporters of Ann's Place. She cherished friendships from the Candlewood Lake Club and Bethel, CT.

Phyllis is survived by her sons Glenn (Jeannie), Greg, Brian (Cindi), and Bruce; grandchildren Lauren, Garrett, Alison, Gabriel, Ryan, Diana, Elena and Eddie; brother, Bill: and 9 nieces/nephews.

A wake will be held Friday, April 10th at 5pm at Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St, New Milford, CT 06776.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, April 11th at 10:30am at St.Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, Brookfield, CT. Followed by burial at Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery. A reception will follow at 919 Candlewood Lake Road South, New Milford, CT.

Phyllis will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to family and community, and the inspiration she provided to all who knew her. She will forever reside in our hearts.
