Richard Lloyd Peck

Born to Erna and Lloyd Peck in Cleveland, OH in 1934, Richard began his long career of

serving others in the Coast Guard before finding his calling as a U.S. Postman. After 22 years of

service to the U.S. Postal service, Richard enjoyed his retirement in Meadow Vista, CA. Still

staying active, he worked many years at the local True Value helping customers with their

numerous household needs.

Meadow Vista and Auburn always served a special place in his heart as he loved giving back to

his community. He served many years in the Lion’s Club and Meadow Vista Water Board. But

when you didn’t see him out and about - Richard loved fishing and working in his garden. He

was an avid fan of growing numerous flowers, tomatoes, squash, and apples. But the true apple

of his eye was his wife, Dianne.

Richard and Dianne shared 35 beautiful years together before his passing. He is also survived

by his children - Laurie, Lisa, Katina, Josh, and grandchildren Kasey and Brayden.

Please join his family for a graveside ceremony on Friday, August 27th at 10am at New Auburn

Cemetery.
