Robert Velvan Pierce

Robert Velvan Pierce Sr. (Fritz), long time resident of Auburn, CA, went home to be with the Lord on May 31st, 2011 in Auburn, CA. He was born to Lilia and Velvan Pierce on December 4th, 1922 in Bryantville, MA. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife Roberta Pierce and his second wife Florence Pierce.

Robert moved his family to California in 1958 where he was a senior model maker at Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park. He enjoyed: fishing, gardening, traveling and baseball. He loved the Lord and shared his faith with others. Robert served as a Deacon at his local church and was a member of Gideons International.

He was a beloved father and will be deeply missed by his children: Judith Ruiz (Ron) of San Jose, Ca., Charlotte Rice (Dean) of Auburn, Ca. and Robert Velvan Pierce Jr. (Myrtle) of Lake Isabella, Ca. Robert was the proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is survived by sisters: Mary Holmes of Morris, AL and Ella Hannon of Hanson, MA.
