December 31, 1951-March 16, 2023
Rudolpho Hinojosa passed peacefully, being united with his Heavenly Father, on March 16, 2023, at home in the care of his loving wife and with his family in Grass Valley, California. Rudy fought hard while in pain, but he was strong until his last day, talking, laughing, and sharing his heart with his loved ones.
Rudy was born on December 31, 1951, in Auburn, California, to Santos Hinojosa and Sally Hinojosa. He spent most of his life living in Roseville, California. Rudy grew up with his parents and his two brothers (Joe and Santos) and three sisters (Aurora, Sally, and Hilda), playing ball and enjoying Folsom lake, creeks, and the oak trees with his family and friends. He attended Roseville high school and graduated, class of 1970. In school, he enjoyed math courses, played football and baseball, and wrestled.
As a young man, he worked at the Roseville Railroad. Then went on to the concrete trade and eventually became a small successful business owner/ contractor of RH Concrete, which he was very committed to and proud of.
Painting was his true passion; he was drawn to watercolors. He had a love for nature, which stirred his artistic inspiration. He'd reminisce about the "good old days," and if you are a friend of Rudy's, most likely you are part of a good story. He loved music; some favorites include The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and Santana. He loved going on trips with his wife Mary, daughters Joanna and Julia, and grandchildren. He enjoyed sharing the details, pictures, and memories of their adventures. Other hobbies and interests include skiing, golfing, cooking, politics, and gardening.
In 2021 Rudy and his wife, Mary, moved to be with Julia and son-in-law Sean in their beautiful nature-filled property. He had spoken very highly of how blessed he was to live in such a beautiful environment. He was immensely thankful for this time when he got to garden, paint and spend time with his wife and all the family, enjoying dinners and playing with the grandkids in the mountains. He spent all his days as a loyal son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Mary, son Rudy, and two daughters, Joanna and Julia. Stepchildren Juan, Dora, Sam, Evelyn, and His Son-in-law Sean. He has 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Elijah, Adelino, Isabella, and Easton (Joanna's children). Liam and Levi (Julia and Sean's children). Noah, Devenn, and Aiden (Juan's children). Angeline, Alyia, and Braylon (Dora's children). Nyle (Sam's son). Amari (Evelyn's son). Elijah II (Elijah's son)
