Beatrice "Bea" Craig

CRAIG, Beatrice “Bea”, age 86, of Rochester Hills, formerly of Bradenton, FL passed away April 2, 2012; born March 14, 1926 in Boston, MA; married to the late William J. Craig Jr. for 53 years; Loving mother of Ruth (Bob) Gardner and Margaret Craig, both of Rochester Hills; the late Patti Craig Chamberlain and Jimmie Craig; sister of Francis Miller of Oxford and Horace Bancroft of MA; dear grandmother of Scott(Kimberly) Gardner, Tracy Wagner, Ryan McCallep, Sean (Kimberly) McCallep, Kristen Craig and Cynthia (Chris) Kimmel; also several great-grandchildren. Bea raised four wonderful children and loved spending time with them. Her great sense of humor was evident when reminiscing family stories. She cherished the relationship she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they brought much joy to her life. She deeply valued her special friends Jimmie and Maureen Dinn of Whitman, MA and spending time with them; also very special was her cat “Precious”. Bea was a marvelous cook. It was a great delight for her to make cookies, carrot cake and strawberry pie for friends and neighbors. She enjoyed reading, going out to breakfast and feeding the pelicans and cranes in Florida as well as bird watching at home; Visitation Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills with the funeral Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home; donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
