David L. Herr

David L. Herr, age 73, of Auburn Hills, MI, passed away on January 6, 2021. He was born in Pontiac, MI on September 29, 1947. David graduated from Avondale High School in 1965 and went on to work for General Motors. He was married to Clara L. Herr on December 31, 1965. David was a member of the National Rifle Association and always enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with Clara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Herr and Loola Simpson; his granddaughter, Chelsea Smith; his brothers, Colin Shier, Joseph Herr, Jr., Bud Herr and Gene Herr; and his sisters, Betty Townsend and Mona Herr. David is survived by his wife, Clara L. Herr; his children, Patricia (Michael) Fultz of New Baltimore, David (Julie) Herr of Stanwood, Bryan (Lori) Herr of Flagstaff, and Jennifer (Michael) Smith of Lake Orion; his grandchildren, Andrew (Terra) Herr, Nathaniel (Salena) Herr, Michole Fultz, Daniel (Sarah) Smith, Tiffany Smith, Tjoshua (Camiah) Fultz, Michaela Fultz, Tricia Fultz, Trystan Herr, and Tobie Herr; his great grandsons, Micah, Isaac, Jaxon, and a new great grandson arriving soon; and his brothers, Randall (Marleane) Herr, Gary (Beverly) Herr, Daniel (Patricia) Herr, and Richard (Donna) Herr. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 2-8 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd, Auburn Hills, MI. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 11 AM, with visitation beginning at 10 AM until time of service, at Pixley Funeral Home in Auburn Hills, MI.
