Harley C. Harned, age 97, of Auburn Hills, Michigan, passed away on January 5, 2022. He was born in Utica, Michigan on October, 30, 1924. Harley graduated from Utica High School. He was married to Margaret Pierson on October 19, 1946 until she passed away on July 13, 1990. Harley was then married to Signa Johnson on December 5, 1992 until she passed away on December 4, 2016. He was a proud Army veteran who served during WWII to protect our country. Harley had a career working for the United State Postal Service making deliveries. He was a member of Harvestland Church where he was a longtime board member. Harley had a passion for Christ and His ministry, along with the Caleb Senior Ministry he began with his wife, Signa.
Harley is survived by his children, Susan Zilkie, Christine Stanley and David (Gail) Harned; his step-children, Linda Burbank and John Johnson; and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Harned; his second wife, Signa Harned; his step-son, Steven Johnson; and his siblings, Harley was the last surviving of 7 siblings.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 9:30-11 AM, with the funeral service beginning at 11 AM, at Harvestland Church, 5848 Clintonville Rd, Clarkston, Michigan. Harley will be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 2 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, Michigan.
