BECK, James “Doug”, age 87, of Auburn Hills, died October 19, 2015. He was born October 11, 1928 in Tallapoosa, MO. Doug was employed as a Mechanical Repairman with many businesses in the Detroit area. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his family, and was a great storyteller. Music was a big part of his life and he played many square dances with his fiddle in Missouri. He loved his dog Max who was always by his side. Husband of Carol Beck for 37 years; father of Ron (Bunnie) Beck, Sandra (Bill) Beacom, Karen (Don) Wood, Lynette (Todd) Shelly, and Timothy (Shannon) Larrison; grandfather of 13; and great-grandfather of 9. Visitation 3 – 8 p.m., October 22, 2015 at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills. Funeral Service 11 a.m., October 23, 2015 at the funeral home.
