Janice was born the daughter of Harry and Ina (Smith) Wood on November 23, 1937 in Pontiac, Michigan. She graduated from Waterford High School, class of 1955. Janice earned a business degree from Oakland Community College. She married Dwayne Naramor and they raised family in Auburn Hills. Janice had a career as secretary for the chief of Police in Auburn Hills for 23 years. Janice was a member of the American Legion.
Janice especially enjoyed country music and Disney movies.
Janice was predeceased by her husband Dwayne Naramor and her son Michael Elkins. She is survived by her daughters Laura Fitzgerald and Starr (Craig) West; grandchildren Sarah Fitzgerald, Molly (Jonathan) Freeman; and Ethan, Kade, and Chelsea West. Janice was the only girl in a family of 7 children and the last to pass away.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday October 20, 2022 starting at 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 4 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 3530 Auburn Rd, in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
