Patrick Michael Ryan Sr., age 66, of Auburn Hills, May 25, 2012; born July 20, 1945 in Detroit, to Joseph Patrick Ryan Sr. and Bernice May Ryan nee Zelany. Pat attended primary school at Our Lady Queen of Peace, graduated from Notre Dame High School, went to John Carroll University, and received his Bachelor of Science from Wayne State University and his M.B.A. from Central Michigan University. Pat worked as a Detroit Newspaper Carrier (age 12-17); General Motors-Chevrolet Motor Division, retiring with 37 years, as a Systems Analyst for Dealer Accounting; he was a Real Estate Agent for Earl Keim and a school bus driver, known as “Mr. Pat” for the Avondale School District; he was a member of the GM Men’s Club, GM Men’s Bowling League, Moose Lodge, V.P. of AFSCME Local Union for Avondale Transportation and Chippewa Valley School Board Treasurer. Husband and best friend of Sherry (Mabry); Special Dad to Jackie and Elaine Ryan, Laura Andrews, Pat Jr., Kristen Ryan, Sean Frailey and Courtney Frailey; Best Grandpers to Sean Geldholf and Jordan, Jessica and Jack Andrews; Best Papa to Derek Frailey and Layla Frailey Young; Loving brother of Joe Ryan, JoAnne Ryan, Lois (Blake) Poorman and the late Michael Ryan; Special brother-in-law of JoAnn and Lloyd Pemberton; predeceased by parents Joseph and Bernice Ryan; Pat will be missed by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; Especially his caregiver niece & nephew Judy Ballard and Larry Pemberton; Visitation Wednesday 2-9 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills; Funeral Mass Thursday 10:30 a.m. (in-state 10 a.m.) at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, 771 Old Perch Rd., Rochester Hills.
