Richard was born April 25th, 1929 in Pontiac, Michigan. He was a Korean War veteran along with being a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for 68 years. Richard graduated from Anchor Bay Bible Institute with a Master's Degree as a Doctor of Divinity. He also evangelized the gospel across the country and internationally. Richard served on the board of directors for Anchor Bay Evangelistic Association for many years. He founded and pastored Avondale Faith Tabernacle since 1976, which later became Rochester Hills Family Worship Center. The purpose of his life was loving his family and loving people.
Besides his devotion to Ministry and seeing people come to know his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Richard was passionate about his family, hunting, fishing, and working. On any given day you might find him 50’ up a tree cutting huge limbs, picking up a variety of items left by the curbside to be entries in his colossal garage sales, fishing in local lakes, hunting deer near his cabin up north, picking up sea shells on the beach before first light in Treasure Island, FL, or finding ways of spending time with his children and grandchildren. Richard lived a rich and full life and had a powerful, positive effect on all people. While he will be sorely missed by all who knew him, his devotion to service and family will motivate us all to do our best to honor his life by serving one another selflessly.
