Thomas Allen Reed

REED, Thomas A., age 70, of Waterford, formerly of Rochester Hills, February 21, 2017; loving husband of Brenda Davis Moore; dear father of Devon, Jason (Kay), Roddy (Shelly), Amy (Matt) and Kelly (Matt); also 8 grandchildren; son of Josephine Baker and the late Newman Reed; brother of John Reed and Kathy Triffo. Tom was a Vietnam veteran with a passion for family, current events, Detroit sports, and daily antique hunting with his wife, Brenda. He was an amazing father and husband, with an unexplainable love for his grandchildren. He loved his annual trips to Oscoda, making lists in his notebooks, and sitting in the garage listening to a Tigers game on the radio. Even as he batttled through treatments he never complained, always kept a positive attitude, and would still crack a joke through it all. His bravery over the last 10 months is one that can only be admired. He will be sadly missed, but we are comforted knowing he is now free from pain and is at peace.
