

He was born January 26, 1930 in Angora, Nebraska and moved to Auburn in his youth. He graduated from Auburn High School and married his high school sweetheart Phyllis Marie Lorensen in 1949. He served in The National Guard for seven years. He was Television Repairman for Mike Woods TV and Appliance Store in Auburn for over 40 years.
Charles was preceded in death by Phyllis Marie Morehead in 1993. They were married a blessed 44 years.
In 1999 he married Eloise Mondy. They enjoyed traveling and were Snowbirds living in Yuma, Arizona during the winter months. They were happily married for nearly 14 years.
Mr. Morehead was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Milton, WA.
Charles W. Morehead served many years as a Committeeman for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 25 in Edgewood, WA. And was a sustaining member of the Mount Rainier Council of Boy Scouts.
He was survived by three sons; Raymond Lee Morehead, William Paul Morehead, Charles Dean Morehead, and two daughters; Pamela Ann Boode, Susan Jean Powell, and two brothers; Dallas Morehead, Glen Morehead, and one sister; Pearl Hoffer.
Charles William Morehead was also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 30, at Mountain View Cemetery at 12:00 noon. Interment will also be at Mountain View Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to Auburn Regional Hospital or Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Milton, WA.
Charles William Morehead was a graduate master craftsman of the school of life. He was a most caring, loving, and giving man. He was innovative, able to make something useful for the family out of little of nothing, if that is all he had. He gave something special to all his family which is tender but firm strength and wisdom found in his vast life experiences. Charles William Morehead, our father, grandfather, and great- grandfather was a man of great faith, Christian values, which will continue to influence our growing families. We will cherish his love of life, his gentle nature, and we will miss him always.
