

Floyd (Butch) Carley Jr passed away on May 28, 2013 at the age of 72 after a short yet courageous battle with cancer. Floyd was born in West Seattle on May 3, 1941. He met his beautiful wife Sharon (Holgate) Carley on Alki Beach. Together, they raised their three girls. Floyd hired on at Boeing Commercial at the age of 18 and retired 37 years later at the age of 55. He and Sharon sold their home and bought an RV and traveled extensively throughout the US, Mexico, and Canada. They also bought a house in Sun City West, Arizona, where they lived for the last 13 years. Floyd was an avid softball and golf player, playing on teams and courses in Sun City West consistently. Floyd and Sharon traveled all over the world including cruises to Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean, Alaska, and China. They also went on an African Safari and several trips to Europe. Together, they truly enjoyed retirement. Floyd is survived by his wife Sharon, daughters Julia Kammeyer (Richard), of Auburn, Washington, Chris Carley of Surprise, Arizona, and Rebecca Schuster (Henry), of Kailua Kona, Hawaii as well as grandchildren Carley Morris, Nick Morris, Sulley Schuster, Madison Schuster, and great grandson Jamesen Elder. Services to be held Friday, June 7th at 10:00 AM at Price-Helton Funeral Home in Auburn, WA.
